Pens Meadow School opened on Ridge Hill in 1977 and has gone from strength to strength since, now offering education for up to 65 pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties, complex needs and autism. The single storey building has been adapted over the years to meet the needs of pupils and now includes a gym, purpose built playground, sensory room, food technology room, splash pool and classrooms environments catering for different age and abilities of pupils.

The separate Post 16 Unit opened in September 2015 at Pensnett, offering up to 40 places for students with complex needs, including autism. This specially adapted building extends the facilities available to all our pupils and includes forest school, catering, horticulture, sports hall and purpose built classrooms and common room.
